OUR PROPRIETARY PRODUCT MegaXML was developed from scratch by TPG and is a proprietary
product. It was fashioned as an open system to accommodate new interfaces which
in turn, allows it to suit virtually any client using electronic data interchange
(EDI / EDIFACT), or is planning to use EDI / EDIFACT because their trading partners
require them to do so. This in turn, positions us to build custom, tailor-made interfaces
that are geared exclusively to the needs of each client.

Microsoft Dynamics AX® Seamless integration with EDI & XML MegaXML/AX
Background
MegaXML/AX is primarily designed for Microsoft Dynamics AX® integration with EDI
and XML. It provides seamless integration between front-end B2B eCommerce and backend
Microsoft Dynamics AX.
Using MegaXML/AX eCommerce data such as sales purchase orders payments etc. in EDI,
XML, flat file or CSV are marshaled to backend with Microsoft eConnect and delivered
to Axapta for further processing. Similarly Invoices from Axapta are retrieved and
delivered to your trading partners in EDI, XML, flat file or CSV. Automatic data
synchronization between eCommerce and Axapta is fast and accurate, saving time and
cost.
A rich set of GUI screens as part of MegaXML/AX makes order and invoice processing
streamlined and possible by just a few key stokes or mouse clicks.
Introduction
The MegaXML/AX adapter uses the Microsoft eConnect libraries for importing and exporting
documents from Axapta. There are several advantages in using eConnect for connectivity
as opposed to connecting directly to the database:
• Portability: The eConnect library interface is largely portable between Axapta
versions.
• Data Integrity: Data goes through XML documents that are validated against Microsoft
defined XML Schemas. Therefore, there is no chance of bad data getting injected
into the database.
Operational Details
No modifications are required to the Axapta installation in order to implement MegaXML/AX
integration. The MegaXML/AX is a C# .NET subsystem that natively communicates with
eConnect components.
Using XSD Schema brings strong business logic validation feature, it reliably passes
on the XML business document to Axapta. Using Windows MSMQ (Microsoft Message Queue),
the MegaXML/AX confirms acceptance of the posted XML document by the Axapta. It
also uses the “Transaction Requestor” service to move business documents out of
Axapta for its subsequent processing, and eventual transmission back to EDI partner.
